- The gas flue boxes are intended to be used with many types of conventional radiant gas fires and LFE (live Fuel effect) fires which comply with an appropriate part of BS5258.
- This box is a deeper version of the freestanding flue box. However, being deeper it can also be used to fit within the thickness of an internal masonry or plaster and timber stud wall so that the gas fire is flush to the wall in one room with the gas vent behind the wall.
- It must not be used to penetrate an external wall.
- If connecting to flexible liner you will need to order the adapter (Adapter to flexible flue liner for IL Twin Wall Gas Flue).
This box must be positioned on a building regulation required hearth, it must have an air-gap minimum clearance of 50mm to any combustible material. The gas vent system can be connected directly to the gas vent box using the short length of gas vent which is permanently fixed on the box outlet
